Crowning of the 2011 Michigan Galaxy Queens

It’s hard to beleive my reign is close to ending on Novemver 5th 2011 in Bay City, MI.

Here is special note:

Being a wife, mother of two, volunteer and career minded, I had no idea my name would be announced as Mrs. Michigan Galaxy 2010. I was chosen for being me and given the opportunity to shine and inspire my passion for “Cancer Prevention and Awareness”. I’m so glad I won!

            Some of my highlighted appearances were Relay for Life, Auction Dinner, “Toys For a Mission”, Humane Society Drive, Hope Tote, pageant judging, appearances at festivals and parades, Bay City River Roar, rock climbing with Marines and holding a baby Tiger.

            As I prepare to make a new chapter in my life, I look back as Mrs. Michigan Galaxy 2010 in personal growth, opportunities and the foundation I will build my future on. So many doors opened for me and exceptional journeys await me.

            I want to thank Debra and Kevin in making this year exciting! Debra you are an amazing woman~ To Jessica Willis, words can’t express how you made it happen, lol~

            To my sister queens, I wish we spent more time together. You’re all amazing on so many levels!

            To Mary, Little Miss Michigan Galaxy 2010, you’re an exceptional young lady, keep shining like a star! To Carolyn, thank you for putting up with me! You’re a great friend!

            To the 2011 queens – Have fun! You won’t believe how exhilarating and humble your experiences will be!

Bee Brave walk / run 10-9-10

Bee brave is a great event to help raise money for Mary Lay Foundation to fun research of cancers affecting women and help prevent domestic violence. This foundation has awarded over 22 million to shelters and programs  and 13 million to reserach. You can check out their website at MAry Kay Foundation,org . sEE YOU IN CALEDONIA FOR A FUN DAY!

Official Prelim to the 2011 Michigan Galaxy Pageant and vendors all of srt attending! Meeting new people and touching base with my sister Queens! Cant wait for next years event!

What an excitingday to present Galaxy in our honetown parade! MAry, Little Miss Michigan Galaxy and I walked the streets and had a blast!

Bay City River Roar June 26th 2010

Barry Community Free Clinic 5K 2010 Fundraiser

On June 5th in Hastings, MI, a 5 K run/ walk event will start to fundraise a free health care clinic and medications to the uninsured and low income adults. This clinic is ran by about 20 volunters and going stroing.  You will see me helping with registration and handing out information! See you there!

Memorial Day Parade

Memorial Day Parade was a day of celebration to honor those who have served their country in past years, and present. The annual parade kicked off at 10:30 and pausing at many monuments along the way to lay wreaths of Remembrance. My two children and I walked with the local 4 H kids who have parents currently in the military. I also took time to visit with the local VFW

veterans.

Relay For Life event- May 14th 2010

The Kentwood Relay for life on May 14th was a huge success! The Michigan Galaxy Queens walked several laps to help raise money and support all the teams! Hundreads of people came to this 24 hour event with great music, friends, families and one mission, raise money for cancer prevention and awarness for advanced research.
